ABOUT NIT_
by Ines Lončar
NIT_ was born from a longing I couldn’t ignore a quiet pull back to my hands, to beauty, and to emotion.
I’m Ines, the founder of NIT_ and a textile artist based in Croatia. Years ago, I ran a fashion brand known for its hand embroidery, featured across local lifestyle platforms. Over time, however, the story I was telling no longer felt true. I stepped away from fashion, from visibility, and from making itself.
For a while, I worked outside the creative world. But the absence of making was loud. I missed the ritual of working with my hands, the intimacy of materials, and the slow transformation from thread to object. Eventually, I returned not to the body this time, but to the home, the wall, the table. That return became NIT_.
The word nit means thread, but also an invisible line one that connects people, moments, and memories. This idea sits at the heart of everything I create. NIT_ is a collection of hand-embroidered table textiles and tactile textile art, made for those who approach the home as a living, emotional space.
Every piece is made by hand using natural materials such as linen, wool, and cotton. Small variations are part of the process, making each work subtly unique. These are objects meant to be touched, used, and lived with not simply displayed.
NIT_ is for people who value intention over excess. For those who gather slowly, notice details, and choose beauty not only for special occasions, but for everyday rituals.
Bold, minimalist, and poetic, NIT_ invites you to host with heart and live surrounded by objects that carry feeling.
Welcome to NIT_.
I’m so glad you’re here.
xoxo
Ines
